Our story
Three generations. One standard.
Harold Morris opened The Crown & Blade in 1987 after training in Vienna, determined to bring traditional European barbering back to Southampton. He built the shop around patience, discipline, and the belief that a proper cut should look sharper a week later than it did on the day.
His son Jamie took over in 2009. Grandson Tyler joined in 2019. Straight razors, hot towels, proper finish oils, and conversation that does not feel rehearsed still define the room. The chair Harold first cut in is still in the shop, and still in service.

Trained under his father Harold, spent two years cutting in Edinburgh, returned to take over the shop. His scissor work is the finest in Southampton. Clients travel from London for a cut.
